No more layers of government....

In a representative democracy, the elected representative is usually required to live in the district they represent. Rep. John Lewis lives in our district yet he makes laws that affect people from Maine to Montana. If this city is created, a citizen will have 6 other council persons NOT living in their district and potentially voting against issues that would benefit that citizen.

BTW, 2 of the county commissioners live south of I-20 and 4 commissioners live south of Buckhead. 4 of 7. A majority!

FACT: The Fulton County Commissioners will continue to represent their respective districts in Fulton County whether a city is created or not. Another layer of government which will include a mayor and city council will definitely be created along with the new city!
