"If passed, it would expand the city limits of Atlanta to the Palmetto and Chattahoochee Hills boundary lines, near Coweta County."
The area outlined in Rep. Pat Gardner & Tyrone Brooks' HB 587 DOES NOT include all of Unincorporated South Fulton or extend to Palmetto, Chattahoochee Hills or Coweta County.
"All residents of Unincorporated South Fulton would become residents of the City of Atlanta. All the students in Fulton County schools located in Unincorporated South Fulton would become students of the Atlanta Public School System."
Since the area described in Rep. Pat Gardner & Tyrone Brooks' HB 587 does not include all of Unincorporated South Fulton, ALL residents will NOT become citizens of the City of Atlanta and ALL students will NOT become students of the Atlanta Public School System.

"So can you as a resident of Unincorporated South Fulton remain unincorporated? Based on the annexations in 2016 and HB 587, probably not!
THE EXISTING CITIES AND THE FEAR MONGERS WON'T LET YOU."

FACT: The legislature is not attempting to divide unincorporated South Fulton and the fear mongering is being generated by those NOT wanting you to remain unincorporated.
